Designed and developed classroom and online clinical education and sales training for Medical Device Specialists and Account Managers for the Healthcare division.

Worked with SMEs to gather content and perform front-end analysis, then developed high-level and detailed design documents, project plans, storyboard with audio scripting and interactive activities and quizzes, participant and facilitator guides, and final course assessments.

The Home Depot

Provided detailed training needs analysis, design, and development for instructor-led classroom training for kitchen design software upgrade release.

Analysis results led to three courses to be developed and delivered to over 5,600 kitchen and bath associates worldwide.

United Health Group

Designed and developed instructor-led webinar training and interactive Web-based courses (Articulate Presenter/Engage and Adobe Captivate) for the United Health Group Medicare & Retirement divisions.

Using Articulate Quizmaker, created first-level lesson quizzes and application-level final examinations to accompany the published courses

Using Adobe Captivate, created system training using “show-me” demonstrations, interactive “let-me-try” simulations, and “test-me” assessments on the system application.

Collaborated with team leaders and SMEs to produce exceptional, learner-centered courses based on client’s learning and performance needs.

OnCourse Learning

Develop new and update existing curriculum for online courses in the fields of real estate, appraisal, and home inspection.

Work with content subject matter experts (SMEs) and research state license law changes and changing market conditions to ensure course materials are accurate and current to meet evolving state regulatory requirements and national education standards.

Incorporate learning strategies for student interactivity and subject retention, including frequent knowledge checks, application-level certification exams, multi-media interactions, and relevant graphic designs.

 

Georgia Pacific

Using Articulate Presenter eLearning software, designed and developed interactive online product training for sales representatives of the company’s food service and wash room segments.

Courses included multi-media, including audio, video, custom animation, games, and learning interactions (Articulate Engage), as well as knowledge- and application-level question tests (Articulate Quizmaker)and course summary job aids.

Collaborated with category managers throughout the design and development phases of the project to validate content and to incorporate learning strategies and resources to meet desired performance goals.

Loaded courses to company’s Learning Management System (LMS) and performed quality and usability testing prior to course pilot and launch.

SunTrust Bank

  • Worked with a team of 15 remote technical writers (content authors) to assist in the bank’s online intranet policies and procedures reference library as it migrated to a new delivery platform.
  • Reviewed current retail banking policies and procedures, combined similar procedures when feasible, and moved content to the new platform;  edited content for grammar/sentence structure and flow, and inserted images, tables, hyperlinked text, and other strategies to ensure procedures were clear, methodical, and easy for users to follow.
  • Lead the team in documenting our own style guide to ensure various writing styles of authors were consistent.
